Todd Haynes es un gran amante de la música. Ya lo demostró hace unos años con Velvet Goldmine, ese biopic extraño sobre David Bowie. Ahora, con Im not there se centra con la vida de Bob Dylan. El film, cuenta con un elenco de actores bastante variopinto. Cate Blanchett, Ben Whishaw, Christian Bale y Richard Gere interpretan cada uno de ellos a Dylan. Lo bueno del film es que refleja cada uno de los momentos importantes de la vida del músico, a mi me parece genial la caracterización de Blanchett, pero también tengo que destacar el gran trabajo de Christian Bale, uno de mis actores favoritos. Os recomiendo que veáis la película 2 veces, pues en mi caso, en el segundo visionado me fijé en otras cosas, detalles que se me pasaron la primera vez. Sin duda otro gran trabajo de Todd Haynes, que como ya pasó con Velvet Goldmine ha escrito y dirigido.

Me he acordado al repasar el listado de temas, que la banda sonora de Velvet Goldmine era también de autentico lujo. No hay mejor director que no saque tanto jugo de la música como Haynes.
